Today started nice and early, 6 am early, at a brisk 45* and now at 9:15 it hasn't even hit 65* (really close at 64* thought). I am thoroughly enjoying every minute of this cool autumn-like weather! After all, autumn is my favorite season! Sweatshirts, jeans, pumpkins, cider, warm donuts, fairs... all of the wonderful things that come with the "-ber" months!
A cool, brisk morning bundled up outside in jeans and a sweatshirt with a nice hot cup of coffee watching the little ones run and play makes for a great way to start any day! Don't get me wrong, I love a warm summer day, but sometimes it gets so hot that it's frustrating! It becomes too hot to touch anyone (which makes playing together nicely almost impossible). Sometimes it's even too hot to breathe, which means we are stuck inside... NOT OK! I don't know about everyone else, but the moods of myself and my children seem to follow along with the weather. Hot weather =hot tempers, cool weather = calm, cool moods!
The smiles make my day!
Plus it's always an extra bonus when they play nicely with each other! It's a great life to be able to stay home with my children and watch them grown and experience life!
Thanks summer for the fun time in the sprinkler and slide-splash "puddle" days, but my kids and I are ready for the "-ber" months and all the seasonal excitement that comes along with it! I very well may be singing another tune when the "-ber" months turn into BRRRRRR months, but until then bring on the sweatshirts, jeans, pumpkins, cider, warm donuts, and fairs!
